The fact is, with prices of raw materials soaring, wage rates increasing, supplier lead times lenthening
Are you begining to experiencing a creeping problem with;
😲 #Quality of work done and materials delivered deteriorating
😲 #leadtimes not meeting client needs
😲 #Utilisation rates per employee falling!
😲 #costs rising due from hourly wage rates, overtime and
😲 #Overstocking on raw materials so you can #plan better!
😲 #Overproducing because this will sort out delivery times!!!
😲 #debtors days and overdue settlements increasing
😲 and finally, the mother of all KPI’s #cashflow sinking !
💪 Then, believe me, implementing project #kaizen or #enterprisetransformation or #turnaround , #restructuring is a so much easier!. Every one is well behaved and do as their told!.
👀 My conclusion, take lean, particularly, Lean Leadership seriously.
Whatever anyone tells you, #truenorth lean starts always with you and how you see your #role and your #habits
🍒 Learn to be a humble leader during the good times, why wait till you are on your knees !.
🍒 Practice #hansei before #kaizen particularly #behavioural#kaizen, your behaviour, your habits,
🍒 Take out #pride#arrogance#malevolence#selfimportance#envy, #wrath#sloth#greed and #disrespect from your daily routine. and yes, we all practice some elements of these traits at work, don’t we !.
🍒 #leantools are relatively speaking simple tools #leanconcepts however require all of the above virtuous personality traits to work successfully.
The concept of #jit is a problem solving approach in improving the value chain, its not a tool, its a way of thinking and exploring the causes of waste.
Use the gift of managing others in 2022 to become the person you could not the person you are.
Where #ebitda and #cashflow have suffered in a business the #rootcause for me, has always been #leadership and its lack of the above virtuous #traits and an #overburden#muri of the negative #traits.
