The team redesigned the line in line with improved metrics, standard work, cycle time, WIP and use of Andon.
Obeya Project Problem solving method was used as over 5 different departments needed to be co-ordinated to make this lean transition work.
Not only did we achieve amazing KPI as in the pictogram but also M1 margin – Technological Operating Margin or Operating ratio improved by 64%.
Employee Engagement, confidence and communication were of course the other benefits.
The key to any lean transition is to Inspire, Engage and Create with the team.
